Kris Lawrence Explores NFTs for Single “Future Girl”

The rise of NFTs bring in a lot of possibilities for artists, and Filipino R&B singer Kris Lawrence aims to capitalize on that by making his latest single Future Girl an NFT. Kris Lawrence follows local artists Nadine Lustre and Heart Evangelista in transforming their works into NFTs.

“I’ve been doing this new venture, NFT. A lot of our businesses have gone into the metaverse or the crypto space. A lot of things have changed. As an artist, I personally believe that this is where a lot of things are headed,” Kris Lawrence said in a presscon.

For this endeavor, Kris Lawrence tapped platform SongRise for the distribution of the song. The NFT will be limited to 200, and is being sold at 30 USD Coin, which is around Php 1.5k as of this writing. Kris Lawrence is the first artist and the only Filipino to have an NFT asset available at SongRise’s platform.

Future Girl is written by Andrew Real and Kuya Productions, and the NFT will be accompanied by a digital art work.

Being his first NFT project, Kris Lawrence will continue to explore the different possibilities with it, which may include discounts to his concerts and with his official merchandise.
