The Philippines Ranks 4th In Play-to-Earn Adoption: Report

The explosion of play-to-earn games like Axie Infinity in the Philippines has driven the country’s overall NFT ownership adoption rate through the roof, according to Finder.com. The comparison website has published its NFT Gaming Adoption Report, which shows the country ranks fourth in the global play-to-earn marketplace, behind India, Hong Kong, and The UAE. The company polled 43,312 people across 26 countries to get the result, and according to them, around 25% of Filipino Internet users have used a P2E game, and an additional 14% plan to do so by the end of the year.

Unsurprisingly, Finder.com also discovered that people under 35 were the most likely people who have played a play-to-earn game and that play-to-earn gaming was mostly dominated by men.

The Philippines has one of the highest NFT  adoption rates around the world, driven by the popularity of play-to-earn games like Axie Infinity. According to a Finder.com survey of 28,723 adults conducted last year, around 51.28% of Filipinos knew what an NFT was, and 32.02% of them owned an NFT.
